Robert Denis accused of Subway Murder of Rayquon Story
A photograph lifted from MySpace.com and handed to a grieving relative of a victim in Sunday's fatal subway shooting led to the arrest yesterday of a 16-year-old Bronx boy, police sources said.
"This is the kid who shot your nephew," a man unknown to the family told the aunt of Rayquon Story, 19, who was killed early Sunday on a parked No. 5 train in Eastchester, the Bronx, police sources said.
After handing her the photo, the tipster went on to tell the aunt that the suspect, identified by police as Robert Denis, lives in Co-op City.
She turned the photo over to detectives, who then spoke to Co-op City security. They recognized the teenager and he was taken into custody.
Denis is accused of squeezing off five rounds during a 2:30 a.m. confrontation at the Dyre Ave. and E. 233rd St. subway station, striking four people, including Story, cops said.
He made a videotaped statement at the 47th Precinct stationhouse, and was awaiting arraignment at Bronx Criminal Court on charges of murder, attempted murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon last night.
Story's pals all suffered nonlife-threatening injuries in the melee.
The gun was not recovered, cops said.
The bloodshed stemmed from a dispute between Story's buddies and another group of young men at an earlier barbecue, police sources said.
Story and seven friends left the party after cops broke it up, but they were followed to the elevated train station by as many as 30 young men.
Among the large group was Denis, who had arrived at the barbecue as it was breaking up, cops said.
As the two groups converged in a train car, one of the members of the larger group asked specifically for Story, the sources said.
As Story identified himself, Denis allegedly stepped off the parked train - which had made its last stop and was readying for a new run - and fired at him and his friends before fleeing.

Rayquon was my little cousin I miss him dearly but your facts are wrong Robert Denid didn't ask for Rayquon he asked for D smith one Of Rayquons friends if Rayquons was not trying to stop the fight he would be here today.. on top of that in court the other day Robert denis said he took the gun from Rayquon so why would Ray and his Friend run if they had a gun on them.
